John Smith Response

When John Smith found out that his son was going to die in two days, he probably felt like dying. Knowing the fact that your kid was going to die in a few days is enough to make even the sanest person go insane. And usually the parents would pass away before the child would, but unfortunately the table has turned for the worse. And John Smith an elderly person in the 70’s had to deal with depression and the mourning of his son. This is a lot to take in especially at such an older age. Just imagine how you would feel if one of your parents died?

Love can change a lot on how people behave infront of one another, Like a guy who always tried to obey the king, began to feel love towards the king's bride to be which made him make a decision either help with the wedding or not to.

My hero

My hero would probably be my grandma. I admire that I could tell her anything and she wouldn't judge me or act any different. She would also go out her way for people. If some one was in their time of need she would drop everything she was doing and come to help. I could probably be more like her, by being more forgiving and not letting things get to me as easily. I'm not sure if I am like her that much.

Bucket List

If I found out I only had one year to live the probably first thing I would do is go on a vacation to a place I really wanted to go, like Hawaii. Then I would do things that I wanted to do. Like I would go sky diving, and bungee jumping. Also I would spend time with my family. I would also then drop out of school since I wont be needing an education. I'll actually get expelled just to have a little fun. And to tell teachers what I really think.

Spring Break Story

One day on Spring Break, me and some of my friends had an airsoft war behind my house in like a mini woods area.

One of the causes of the civil war was the election of Abraham Lincoln. The reason it was such a big deal was because people that wanted slavery did not want Abraham to ban it.

One of the important battles in the Civil war was the battle of Gettysburg. It was important because it was the biggest last battle of the Civil War.

Interview with Civil War character

Interviewer: What war did you serve in and, what side were you on?

Character: I fought in the Civil war back in 1861-1865, and I am proud to say that I served for the north side.

Interviewer: Did you have any military or weaponry experience before you join the Union?

Character: Actually I never had any military experience, but I have dealt with a gun before if that's what you're asking.

Interviewer: Interesting.. Why did you choose to join the Union?

Character: Many reasons. But the main reason was because of the fact that some people were treating African-Americans like they were pets and didn't have feelings. We are suppose to be living in the "land of the free" no where does it say any exceptions on who is free and who is not.

Interviewer: Did you have part in the underground railroad?

character: Did I personally acknowledge the underground rail road no.. But I did know where the places were, and if I saw slaves trying to escape I wouldn't do a thing other than hope they become free.

Free writing

Free writing is something that you don't have a certain topic to right about. You can choose what ever to talk about. Also you can choose different types of methods to write in, like a poem, lyrics, and other types.

Next week is spring break and I can't wait for it. So I can hang out with friends and not have to do homework. No more having to wake up early. And better yet, No more dealing with school in general.

Civil War main character

Fighting in the Civil War is not easy, matter of fact it never was or will be. Not a day goes by when I wish I was back home with my family and friends. The only type of communication we get is through letters. If we ever get them. But it must not be easy for them either, not knowing where I am or if I'm safe.

Civil War

I think I will be just making up a soldier that will be fighting in the civil war on the Union side. I might talk about his battles and how difficult it is to fight in war and all the things you have to go through.

Motivation

I think that the thing that is most motivating to people is money. With money you can do or buy anything you could have ever wanted. Like on reality competitive T.V shows the only reason they go through the things they do is to win a lot of money. Also another powerful motivation is success. People want to be successful when they are older and that's why kids/teens try their best that they can in school, so they can prepare for when they get older and have a job.

Fighting

I think fighting can be justified if you are fighting in self defense from another person. Or if you are in the military and you fighting a war, that is also something that is worth fighting. Also if you are doing sports like UFC you're obviously going to have to fight or else you will lose.

Students running the school

If the students ran the school and we had no rules what so ever, I don't think we would be prepared for high school. Because since there is no rules I guarantee no one would do homework. So we don't pay attention in class or remember how to do things for future references. Also we would probably just do what we want and would not listen to teachers. So if we didn't do homework this year, we wouldn't feel like doing homework next year. And if we don't do homework in high school we would get bad grades, and that stays with you for the rest of you life. Since jobs and colleges look at that.

Reflection

Overall I think our discussion went very will and stayed on topic for the whole time limit. I think something we did well was we get the audience involved a lot. Me and Anthony probably could have talked more often while we were presenting. I didn't really enjoy this assignment but it was nice that we got to pick our topic. At first we were stuck and didn't know what to do or write about, so that was difficult. It actually wasn't really hard at all for this assignment, I thought it would be worse presenting then it really was.

There's about two more months until we get summer break. I honestly can't wait to get out of school for 3 months. There will be no more homework and get to hangout with friends any day. Also after summer break we get to go in a new school so it will be a new experience.

Human beings ever be truly equal?

I don't think there will every be people that are all truly equal. Because we can't force anyone to think differently then what believe in. Because if we did we wouldn't be any better then the people out there that are still racist.

Which Super Power Would I Have?

If I could have any super power I wanted... I would probably pick flying. I would pick this because it would be fun to fly around and it would be quicker to travel. And I can basically jump off buildings and I can mess with people if they were on a plane I would scare people. And if It happens in 2012 I would just fly away and I would survive.

Respect

I think respect is something important between one another. And is something that people have to earn.
